Bushfire Resource Kit

Our land abounds in nature's gifts, of beauty, rich and rare.

These words capture a reality known to our Indigenous brothers and sisters for more than 60,000 years. It is in this context which we find ourselves reeling from the drought and bushfire emergencies from one end of the country to the other, followed by floods and severe hail storms, not to mention huge dust storms over western NSW.

These cascading weather events have not only cost lives and destroyed thousands of homes and properties, but caused unprecedented mass evacuations from east coast communities particularly.

We have created a digital resource kit to help you cope with or find information to guide action. We hope these prayers, articles, videos and relief services can, in a small way, help you make sense of this unfolding disaster.

Many people have been shocked and traumatised by these events, which have affected towns and communities far from the hardest hit areas. The whole country has been shocked and bewildered by the intensity of these events, as they captured compulsive media attention.

Most Australians are tired of the partisan political divisions that have prevented our country doing our bit to reduce carbon emissions. Unless we all work together to combat climate change everyone on the planet will suffer increasingly damaging weather events.

We have created a digital resource kit to help you cope with or find information to guide action. We hope these prayers, articles, videos and relief services can, in a small way, help you make sense of this unfolding disaster.
